Balluff offers a comprehensive portfolio of magnetically encoded magnetic tapes and magnetic disks for precise absolute rotary angle measurement and linear displacement measurement. While magnetic tapes can be used flexibly for linear applications as well as for rotary measurement tasks with large radii, the magnetic disks are specially designed for absolute rotary angle measurement. They are preferably used in motors, for example for high-precision position measurement of axes or joints in robot systems.
The magnetic discs are available in various thicknesses and diameters and can be individually adapted to customer-specific requirements on request. In combination with the appropriate sensors, they enable compact and high-resolution position feedback directly in the motor.
Both measuring elements form the reliable basis for precise motion control applications in a wide range of industries. Thanks to their compact design and high integration flexibility, they enable space-saving and high-precision detection of position and speed. In combination with the magnetic tape sensors from Balluff, powerful, durable measuring systems are created for demanding industrial applications.
