Continuous control and process monitoring with IO-Link master and sensors
In battery production, cutting is an important process step in which excess material is precisely removed to give the electrodes the desired shape. After cutting, a vacuum drying process takes place to remove the residual moisture from the electrodes. With IO-Link and IO-Link masters, all relevant parameters can be monitored and controlled centrally. The IO-Link master enables the connection of many sensors and actuators that send data to the machine controller in real time. This improves the monitoring of tool wear, temperature and pressure during cutting and drying, ensures production quality and reduces unplanned downtimes.
