Inductive couplers are the ideal solution when data or energy needs to be transmitted without fixed wiring. Wear on cables, contacts and slip rings can quickly become a problem in dynamic applications and lead to failure or breakage. The associated machine or system downtime can then be expensive to rectify.
Inductive couplers offer a remedy: they transmit data and energy contactlessly via an air gap. They support IO-Link signal transmission, general signal transmission and power supply. As there is no mechanical connection, you benefit from less wear, higher system availability, shorter set-up times and more flexible processes.
