Capacitive sensors M08 with IO-Link
Precise object and level detection

Capacitive sensors detect fill levels and recognize objects. In this new, updated generation of BCS M08 capacitive sensors, Balluff improves their mechanical and electronic properties to enhance their well-known reliability.
A potentiometer integrated into the very compact stainless steel housings lets you to easily access and make adjustments. Adjusting the switching distance after the sensor has been installed at the point of use considerably increases operational reliability, since you can compensate for all installation-related interference in the best possible way--with real-world feedback. The switching status of the device is displayed with an LED, which adds to the convenience.
Improved properties, familiar reliability
The versatility of the BCS M08 capacitive sensors makes them a comprehensive solution for a wide range of challenges: from precise detection of different materials such as plastic and metal to position monitoring, end position, and fill level detection of granulates or powders.
The installation options are also flexible and user-oriented: Flush-mounted, these cylindrical, compact sensors are ideally suited for precise position detection and for detecting non-conductive materials. With containers made of glass or plastic, detection through the container wall is also possible. If not flush-mounted, they can reliably monitor fill levels in small containers.
The update also includes new variants with IO-Link. This is becoming indispensable for detection and data transmission and thus for the efficient use of the sensor.
BCS Object recognition
Detection of non-metallic objects (non-contact)
Detection of plastic bottles with flush capacitive sensors, additionally it can be recognized whether the container is filled or not.
BCS Level detection
Detection of the minimum and maximum fill level in a container (in contact with the medium)
To avoid production downtimes due to lack of material or overfilling, the small, non-flush-mounted M8 sensors can be mounted on the underside or top of the container to save space.
