New magnetostrictive sensor generation BTL
With EtherCAT interface

Magnetostrictive sensors measure position and speed with high reliability and precision and are available with the EtherCAT interface. When space is at a premium, this latest generation of BTL (magnetostrictive) position measuring systems from Balluff really come into their own, with particularly compact mini-rod or profile designs that are robust and easy to install.
The right sensor solution for a wide range of applications
The latest generation of BTL magnetostrictive position measuring systems offers a customised combination of features depending on the product version. We differentiate between two performance classes, allowing you to easily configure the right solution for your application and budget.
Sensors in performance class B1 score points with basic functions and an excellent price-performance ratio, while position measuring systems in performance class C1 excel in demanding applications that call for maximum performance.
For the new BTL generation, this means 1 or 2 connectors, with or without LED, and up to 75° or 85° ambient temperature.

Keep a firm grasp on all movements
Travel movements at the blow station are under control with Balluff BTL magnetostrictive linear position sensors, even if there are vibrations. The high-precision measurement systems have an EtherCAT interface. Because of their contact-free and wear-free measuring principle, they contribute to long machine running times.
