What do the error codes for pressure sensors mean?
The pressure sensor with display has the following error codes:
Error code | Meaning |
Err0 | Unknown error (reserved); |
Err1 | Repeated error in communication between sensor and electronics |
Err2 | Repeated Parity error in communication between sensor and electronics |
Err3 | EEPROM cannot be read/written. |
Err8 |
Open Loop: If the output signal of the device (pin 2) is not connected to a load or measuring unit and this output has been parameterized to "mA", "Err8" is shown on the display of the device. As soon as a correct galvanic connection to a load or measuring unit has been established, this error message disappears. -> The error message "Err8" can also be displayed if the DA converter is overloaded. Err8" is therefore an unspecified error that can have various causes. |
Err9 | Set0 not possible, as the maximum possible zero range is +/- 3% of the nominal pressure range. Possible cause is a leaking/defective measuring cell. |
NXXX | Firmware version |
OL | Over Load |
UL | Under Load |
Unfortunately, BSPs with Err errors must be replaced. Error codes with Err do not occur with a functioning device. If it only occurs once, you can refrain from replacing it. As a rule, however, these errors are permanent and the device must be replaced.
